IUOE Local 727 is proud to recognize Cody Fitzgerald as our November Member of the Month!
Cody has been a dedicated Primary Care Paramedic for the past three years, proudly serving the community of Yarmouth and the surrounding region. Originally from Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, Cody brings a strong sense of community connection to his work. His commitment to providing skilled, compassionate care is evident every day on the job.
Cody consistently goes above and beyond in patient care and in supporting fellow members whenever they need it. His professionalism, teamwork, and willingness to step up make him a valued and trusted colleague.
Beyond his paramedic role, Cody volunteers with his local fire department and frequently gives presentations to students and the public about the paramedic profession—sharing knowledge, inspiring future responders, and helping strengthen community awareness. He is also currently upgrading his training with the goal of becoming an Advanced Care Paramedic, further demonstrating his dedication to professional growth and high-quality patient care.
Family is important to Cody, and he values the support of his parents, brother, and nephew. At home, he’s kept company by his three Golden Retrievers—Shelby, Max, and Scooby. Outside of work, Cody enjoys playing guitar, golfing, baseball, and spending time with friends.
Thank you, Cody, for your service, your community spirit, and your ongoing commitment to excellence. Congratulations on being recognized as our November Member of the Month!
