IUOE Local 727 is proud to recognize Kevin Chetwynd as our March Member of the Month!


Kevin is an Advanced Care Paramedic based out of Shelburne, bringing nearly 20 years of experience to the profession, with his milestone anniversary coming this August. Originally from Lockeport, Kevin has built a strong career in paramedicine and continues to contribute to the field as both an MFR facilitator and a Paramedic preceptor, supporting the next generation of providers.


Kevin values time spent with his spouse and two young daughters, often enjoying games and family activities when he’s off shift. While he doesn’t have pets, his focus remains on family and the work he’s passionate about. He strongly believes in the saying, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” and often shares simple but impactful advice with his students: this job isn’t hard—you just have to be willing to do it.
