We have been asked to share the following research opportunity from researchers at Cape Breton University.
Researchers are seeking regulated and unregulated healthcare workers in Nova Scotia who have experienced discrimination affecting recruitment, retention, or career advancement within the healthcare system. The study is exploring how these experiences impact healthcare workers and aims to help inform future policy and equity initiatives.
Participation is voluntary and confidential. Eligible participants may take part in a virtual interview (approximately one hour) and/or a virtual focus group (one to two hours). Participants who complete an interview or focus group will receive a $50 e-gift card.
According to the researchers, eligible participants identify as having experienced discrimination related to their work and may identify with one or more of the following communities:
- Racialized (including African Nova Scotian)
- Acadian/Francophone
- Immigrant
- 2SLGBTQIA+
- Living with a disability
